All Conditions are Met - Sale Final... YAH!

Today our conditions were both met for our new home. 

1) Financing was approved

2) Home inspection 

Our Closing date has been changed from Aug 1 to July 31st because we realized it was New Brunswick Day. 

So we will be moving in during the long weekend ! 

SOLD!!! !

OMG !! We made the deal ! Everything happened so quickly. 2K less than the asking... pretty proud of ourselves!! (with the help of our Realtor of course)! If all goes as planned, our closing date is August 1st!! Less than a month after our wedding... not sure what is more exciting.. our 1st home or our wedding... he he.

1st offer

This morning at 8AM we placed our 1st offer on a mini home we fell in love with yesterday!! We worried it was going to sell quickly! Now we sit and wait with our cell phones near for the call... accepted... counter offer.....................etc

update: they have come back with a counter offer of 3900 more than our original offer (which we predicted) so we have counter offered back 1000 less.

Our 1st viewings

Last night Max and I had our 1st viewings. It's funny because the very first apartment we looked at - we took... now the very first mini home we looked at - we WANT. We looked at 2 yesterday on complete opposite sides of town.

Our realtor is going to set up 2 more viewings for tomorrow in the same location as the one we like and a 2nd viewing :)

Last night Chris and LP came over and we went for a walk down town. When we got back, they stayed for a while and chilled with us. LP was eyeing the popsicles all of us were eating (don't you love the weather?) He started off by just touching them quick and then would get the shock of the cold. Later on he learned how to lick it himself. So of course we had to takes pics and videos! I'll post a video later!

Viewing

Our first mini home viewings begin Wednesday night @ 5:30pm with our realtor Darrin Foster. We are more than excited! We are excited at the possibilities of having our own home. A place where we can have lots of company over at - as our apartment is quite limited and is getting more and more cramed.

We are looking for a newish mini home between 3-7 yrs old with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths.
You might wonder why do we need 3 bedrooms? Kids? Yes... ha. They are called musical instruments. And lots of them! Max wants an entire room dedicated to his instruments... and then the spare bedroom/office.

Wedding Gown

So today, I, Amanda along with Mom decided to go down to The Wedding Chapel where I had placed a down payment on my wedding gown...

......... when I walked into the store there was a beatiful, non-traditional gown in the window. By non-traditional, I mean it has some color to it, it's not your typical old fashion gown. I had to try it on. So I tried it on, loved it... tried the original gown on that EVERYONE loved...but I wasn't sold on it from day one...
So I asked Carol, the owner, if I could try on the new one again, and then she took me in front of a large mirror - I stepped up onto the stool and said sold. I'm sure my dress will come as a shock to some and may be difficult to get use to for those who have seen the dress I originally was taking but I feel much more comfortable in the one I PURCHASED today. Ahh well... I know it's our day, and it has to be what makes us happy. (Thanks CDG for our bride talk months back). And thanks to everyone else who has been helping us through this whole process...
